What A Week!

I know I have posted almost everyday this week, but I feel like I haven't written anything significant or put much time into any posts!

It has been one heck of a week. On Monday, Caleb fell off of the swinging rings on a playground and landed hard on his hip. He had some immediate bruising and was having a hard time walking on his right leg so I took him into Urgent Care. X-rays revealed no break, but as of today we are still waiting for the radiologist to read them to make sure that his growth plates are undamaged. This being said, I'm not sure I believe there isn't a stress fracture of some sort in his joint or upper leg somewhere. Five days later he is still not walking right. I am trying not to freak out about this, but well to be honest I'm not doing that great of a job. If he is still having a hard time walking on Monday (right now he walks like someone who has had hip surgery or needs it), then I will be finding someone to give us a second opinion.

In other news, I am almost finished with this book, and am formulating a post in my brain as I write. If you've been reading this blog or known me for long, you know I will have something to say about it.

Kylee had her 9 month old pictures taken this week...6 weeks late. She was a champion and we were doing great until the lawn mower showed up to mow the park. I don't really plan to purchase any though, so I guess its ok. Part of our first year package with our photographer includes a collage of her first year so I just didn't want to skip them altogether. She has also been getting into a lot of trouble as her toddler attitude emerges. Her newest trick is standing up in her high chair.

Aidan is growing up. That's all I have to say about him. Daily I am reminded in his actions (and his reminders) that he is going to be SIX. I am loving the changes our relationship has been going through, however. He has a new level of independence and responsibility that we are both finding freeing.

And now for the big reveal.....

Remember the new garden plans? (Be sure to click the link to see the before pictures)

Well this week it has all come together and it is FANTASTIC.

First we found this little Noah's Ark bench curb side.

Then Tim worked his magic on my other big plans.

Notice all of the purple flowers? My friend Rachel recounts her obsession with the color pink, following the death of her beautiful daughter, Felicity. I have the same obsessions with the color purple. It is Kenna's color and I want my garden filled with it!

I am THRILLED beyond belief with the way my garden has come together this year. I am so relieved not to be pregnant and hot and sticky this year. I am so grateful to have Tim home with me to help and to have such great kids. I am blessed and I need to remember that!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Caleb's fall and all the worry that has come with that! I pray that it improves or that you find out what is actually wrong so you can fix it.

And your garden looks great - what a curbside find! I can tell by all the changes in your yard that I haven't stopped over in awhile! Have a good weekend (and get better, Caleb).

Well I guess you will have to stop by one of these days then, now won't you?

Maybe a garden ice cream party some afternoon when its not TOO hot...

We'll be praying for Caleb's hip - it is so hard to see them suffering!

The garden looks amazing - love the bridge. Ethan's sitting next to me while I read this rsand he thought it was cool that you linked to my blog.
