A Plan

It has been a crazy few weeks around here. Our house has continually seemed two steps ahead of me and I have not been getting to my chores the way I like to. We've been getting things done, but it has always seemed to be harried and out of control, not calm and smooth the way it can be.

So this week the plan is...

...force myself out of bed for my morning quiet time. Interesting that as I've been sleeping in because I am so tired and as I let this go everything else has gone with it.

...make sure the kids get outside everyday. Although the wii may be fun and games on cold and rainy days, it has not been cold and rainy. I have been grouchy and hermit-crab like.

...limit computer time. I've cut way back, but it needs to go farther.

...clean my bedroom. There is nothing calm and relaxing about coming into a giant trash pile at the end of the day. Who cares if no one sees it but Tim and I!

...stick to the schedule for meals and school. Too much choice and free time stresses everyone out...some is good, but not all the time!

...adjust some expectations of outside activities and groups to be more realistic. Specifically as regard to activities involving food.

Wish me luck!

If I could have described our last few weeks, I think that is what I would have written. Not sure what the deal is over here but life has been less than delightful and more stressful and harried than need be. If you find the solution, please let me know!

Good luck! I could try to do those same things too! I could use a to do list like that. I really haven't been feeling my chipper self either. Good luck to you!

My house has been a bit chaotic too since we got back from holidays, just can't seem to get into the groove. We just spent a bit over an hour or so in the school room and no one was into it....granted it is extremely hot here today. Here's hoping this is just a passing phase....maybe it's the moon ;-)
