Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little

I think for me, parenting a 2 year old who can't talk was about 1,000 times easier than parenting one who can.  It's one thing to (attempt to) calmly address a screaming child.  It is something entirely different to respond calmly to someone crying and screaming, "No, me not want to!" or, "But me want a snack!" We won't even go into the things that a verbal two year old can yell out during mass or other inopportune times.  Sometimes we can't leave fast enough before she gets in a good one liner for everyone to hear.

When she's not melting down, however, Kylee does say some pretty funny things.

She requested Farmer John Cheese on her noodles a few weeks ago.

On the way home from the grocery store, she told me her tummy was humbly.

No matter how humbly it is, however, she will not eat yuckinni.

I can SO relate! Kate has always been so verbal- and insistent, too. But you're good to remember the funny things that come out of their mouths. It makes them much more endearing. ;-)
