Quick tip for setting up these activities at home- Keep an eye out for interesting and unique containers at thrift stores and garage sales. You can certainly use items from your kitchen, but your child has seen those before and they will not have the same draw as something new and interesting. I keep a collection of small pitchers and creamers on my kitchen window. They are beautiful to look at for me and I can choose something new for each work. I also keep a plastic tub of interesting trays, baskets, and other containers in my school supply storage area. Not only do the ever changing vessels capture my student’s attention, but when I entertain or decorate for new seasons I have an abundance of items to choose from!
