Parable Treasury Review

I've been excited to see books in the BookLook Blogger review program before, but never as excited as I was to see this padded hardcover combined volume of the Parable Treasury by Liz Curtis Higgs.    When Aidan was little someone gave us a copy of one of these stories and someone else gave us a CD with all four.   We loved all of them to the ground with the older two and now we are able to love them all over again with our younger kids.  Even Tim was excited about this one.

The Parable Treasury by Liz Curtis Higgs, published by Thomas Nelson, is a collection of four seasonal stories teaching various lessons about Christ's love and how we can share it with other people.  There is one story for each season and they are all centered around plants and growing things.   The four stories are The Pumpkin Patch Parable, The Pine Tree Parable, The Parable of the Lily, and The Sunflower Parable.

Each of these stories is geared towards younger children (I'd say 3-6) but they are appropriate and enjoyable for both older and younger children as well.  Individually or in the combined volume they would make a great gift.  I have enjoyed some of Liz Curtis Higgs other award winning titles, and these are no exception.  Five stars for sure!

In exchange for an honest review, I was provided with a free copy through the BookLook Bloggers Review program.
